Seton Catholic named to the College Board's Prestigious AP School Honor Roll

We are thrilled to announce that Seton Catholic has once again earned a place on College Board's AP School Honor Roll for the 2023-24 Academic Year!

The AP School Honor Roll recognizes schools whose AP programs are delivering results for students while broadening access. Schools can earn this recognition annually based on criteria that reflect a commitment to increasing college-going culture, providing opportunities for students to earn college credit, and maximizing college readiness.

Every year, the AP School Honor Roll offers four levels of distinction: Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum, the highest honor.

Seton Catholic has once again earned Platinum recognition on all three of the AP School Honor Roll Metrics, including:

College Culture: Expand your school's college culture by enabling 80% of the Class of 2024 to experience at least 1 AP course before graduation. Seton scored an incredible 98% out of 100 on this metric.

College Credit: Percent of students in the graduating class of 2024 who scored 3+ on any AP Exam in high school, as well as assist with college affordability by enabling 50% of the class to earn college credit by doing so. To earn Platinum in this category, a school must meet the minimum score of 50%, with Seton coming in at 77%.

College Optimization: Percent of students in the graduating class of 2024 who took 5 or more AP Exams in high school, where at least 1 exam was taken in 9th or 10th grade. Because research finds that 6 or more APs do not improve college graduation rates beyond the optimal total of 5 such courses in high school, no exams beyond 5 per student contribute to this indicator. In order to be ranked Platinum, a school must come in at 20%, and Seton Catholic ranked 70%.

Congratulations to our outstanding faculty, staff, and students for receiving this tremendous honor!
